Egyptian Ereri AU in which Eren is actually the physical embodiment of Anubis, and Levi is a young Pharaoh.
Let’s talk about this…
Can you just imagine Levi as some all powerful Pharaoh. Someone with so much power, someone to lead the people. (kinda like he already does in a way, his soldiers at least) He is young though, and he grew up spoiled, having lived the posh life of a prince before succeeding his father to become the new pharaoh. He was harsh, sometimes even cruel. Entitled.
Now work with me here… imagine by some freak accident the pharaoh (Levi) finds himself on his death bed. As he feels himself slipping into the afterlife he is greeted by none other than the God of the dead, Anubis. He had of course heard countless stories and myths about how Anubis was portrayed as the protector of the dead, meant to help them on their way to their final resting place. But Levi being the skeptic he is, never really believed in such a thing, at least not until he was standing face to face with a large black jackal that stood on two feet. He was worried, scared, he didn’t believe it was his time to die. He couldn’t die yet, he still had so much to do in his life. Anubis, being the benevolent god that he was, offered to listen, and strike a deal with this young Pharaoh. He would let him return to the living world, give him his life back, but Levi would have to prove to him that he deserved this life, that he would make better of it. He told the young pharaoh that he would keep watch over him, and that if he did not keep his promise, he would take him back to the afterlife, and there would be no return.
Just a day after Levi struck a deal with the god and returned to his life, he began to notice a reoccurring sight. A young man. One who looked younger than himself, with the most vibrant green eyes he’d ever seen, so vibrant one might mistake them for jewels. The man was adorned with a headdress that resembled that of the jackal god. Another odd thing that he noticed however..
Was that no one else seemed to notice the boy as something that was “out of place”. Everyone acted like he’d been there all this time, but Levi knew that wasn’t true, he’d never seen the kid in his life. And no one ever noticed him wandering about, keeping his eye on the pharaoh as he attended his duties. No one seemed to notice how when Levi would start slipping back to his selfish ways the boy would linger from afar and cast onto him a threatening glare that would for some reason make Levi incredibly nervous.
He wants to know who this boy is. He wants to know where he came from. Why he is here. Why he just suddenly popped up out of nowhere and why only he seems to notice him as something that shouldn’t be there.
And know, he certainly shall, as he works up the nerve to finally confront him one fateful day.
Who knew Egyptian Gods could take on the embodiment of a normal human?
And who knew Egyptian Gods could be so.. attractive.
Yes. Levi wants to bone a god. (And the god wants to bone him back :D)
FRECKLED CHRIST I am by no means a writer and this is probably all shit, but I think Pharaoh! Levi and Anubis! Eren is fucking amazing.
This is something that was inspired by a request prompt my bff gamerbane received, which can be found here.
It inspired me to not only draw her lovely interpretation on Egyptian! Eren, but come up with an small backstory for the AU as well!
Hope you guys like it :D (I apologize also for the long ass post, Tumblr wouldn’t let me insert a read more break :<)
